During July I was appraoched by my friend Clara and asked if I could help her and her friends out by photographing a charity calendar they were planning on producing. Claras friend, Kate Wilkinson gave birth to her beautiful son Jimmy back in 2010 and discovered he had a rare genetic disorder, known as Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWSA) Since then Kate, along with her family have raised a huge £10,000 for the charity. During one of her nights out earlier this year she and her friends joked over a glass of wine about how they should all get their kits off to help continue their efforts. The seeds were then sewn and we set about producing the calendar. The calendar has been photographed at Kates Nanas Farm house in a lovely corner of Cheshire. Many shoots, meetings, phone calls and emails later we had created a good basis for the calendar. Kate and I had a great time designing all the concepts, we also had lots of friendly arguments too. I found it a great challenge and such an amazing experience all rolled into one. Kates friends were so lovely to volunteer to get their kits off! The calendar was officially launched last night. The event was held at Canvas Lounge – Knutsford, Cheshire. We had fabulous performances from SUPERfreak & Ice Glitz Productions. Thanks to all the effort from everyone, we managed to raise a staggering £2,000 just last night! Such amazing news! We have had interviews from Knutsford Guardian, Macclesfield Express! Cheshire Life even came to the launch last night. The support has been marvelous! Thank you! I only took a few images last night as I really wanted to enjoy my night so here is a few favourites!
I feel overwhelmed by how kind all the girls have been, they bought me many gorgeous presents and a card!
Seeing as I can’t show you the actual images from the calendar I figured you would have to settle with some behind the scenes images, enjoy (:
