Holly & Matt are so gorgeous, they are childhood sweethearts and make my heart swell every time they shared a little hug or kiss. They are made for each other. It is so clear to see… I met Holly & Matt in August to do their engagement shoot. It was at Almscliffe Crag and was extremely windy, very much like today’s weather which is bashing the windows as I write this. They, however, embraced it and boy they did amazing! I was so happy when it got featured on Brides Up North! The wedding took place at a lovely church in Knaresborough, after the ceremony we took a little walk to Knaresborough train station. It is the loveliest train station I have ever seen, we took photographs here because this station means a lot to both Holly & Matt as it is where Matt first asked Holly to be his girlfriend when they were teenagers… how fab is that!!! The reception was held at Castle Barn Farm in Flaxby, Yorkshire. It was such an incredibly beautiful hidden treasure. Tucked away from the country roads and down a track beaten with history. Both Holly & Matt did an incredible job of entertaining their guests, they all played lots of games, drank jelly shots made by the bride and groom and dances the night away with a ceilidh band! The speeches were incredibly moving and emotional and I don’t think there was anyone in the room who didn’t cry (I think a few of the men had a bit of dust in their eye, so they say…) The day was fabulous and wraps up all the reasons why I love my job…!
