This trip started off as a holiday but ended up being a working trip which was fabulous! We drove so many miles! Got a speeding ticket! Stayed in a different hotel each night, so I guess it was like up market travelling! Our journey started off in Toronto. It was late when we got there and so after eating dinner we got an early night. We then woke up to this view..
We then started the epic 4 hour drive up to Algonquin national park. We didn’t drive the whole way there in one go, we stopped often and drank tea, chatted and ate in lovely diners. We got offered a trip on this lovely mans boat though he wanted to go the following day and we still had a lot of driving to do. There are so many friendly black squirrels in Ontario… They are much cuter than our grey ones…
Ontario lake…
Moose cafe & grill! the best pancakes and maple syrup… yum!
The following day we finally arrived at Algonquin…
We then quickly drove 4 hours back down to Toronto, Kris was djing that night…
The next day it was a beautiful day. We popped onto a boat and sailed over to Toronto Islands where we met Seema & Joel. As I specialise in wedding photography, I shot their engagement photo shoot. The power of social media!! It was such a gorgeous island. Apparently the waiting list to live there is something ridiculous like 200 years!
After the engagement shoot, we drove out of Toronto and to the Canada/USA border. We stopped to look at Niagara Falls. It was so beautifully lit up. The area around the falls was a bit like Blackpool and quite funky…
Crossing the border. They sure do take things seriously… we didn’t get our passport out quick enough so got taken into a room for an interview! All was well in the end though!
We then drove to Buffalo, New York…
The following day we crossed the border again (on foot) to take a look at Niagara Falls in the day time. It was incredible!
Guinness World Record Museum…
This upside down house still makes me feel dizzy looking at the photos!
We decided to get a closer look and go on the famous “Maid Of The Mist” boat…
Back over the border to Buffalo, New York to watch Kris DJ…
After a great night we then drove 7 hours though New York and Massachusetts through to Providence, Rhode Island. Kris played in an amazing club called the Collesium which as you can guess by the name was all Roman themed… The hotels cost a small fortune in Rhode Island so we actually stayed just 3o minutes away in Connecticut. In total we were in 4 states that day…
The next day we drove just over 3 and a half hours to New York, I did some shots for Rebekah & Thomas at a gorgeous venue named Leonards Palazzo
Wedding over we drove towards Long Island, the beaches were out of this world…
The next day we drove into New York City!
Central Park was so gorgeous…
Times Square… It is actually a rectangle. Never knew that…
Heading out of NYC and back up to Toronto…
What an amazing trip this was!!!!
